“Ab Anbar Nou” and “Farah Abad Mosque” projects, two of Sari’s old buildings have started in the hope of remembrance and preventing the destruction of urban memory. These building are among the most important structures in the city but they’re on the verge of being forgotten or even destruction (in the case of Ab Anbar Nou).
For these projects, at first architectural plans, related documents, written and oral histories are gathered and edited, and then some explanations with regards to urban planning, sociology, architecture and art are written and presented by experts. This information will be edited and given to artists in order to produce artworks in these sights. Artists will produce works after visiting and examining the sights. These artworks will be shared with the public through exhibition and videos.
The starting step is taken with audio media. This project is ongoing and it is hoped that it will engage in different experiences with other media and artists.
